Artist Statement
My paintings of the last few years combine notions and reactions towards and from both the visual/auditory landscape. I am interested in the way that sound might be represented through color and rhythmic mark making. My aim is to create work that makes a resonant hum. This hum can be likened to the background microwave radiation in the galaxy, the timbre of an instrument or a compressed moment of sensory perception.
